Goodmorning and welcome to another walk.

We continue our morning walk along the river of Loviisa, it’s 8 in the morning and the sun is shining very nicely today.
It’s still very quiet and silent on this beautiful Monday morning.

As the town slowly wakes up, we will walk towards the beautiful Garnison Park where we can still find the remaining Bastion Ungern, construction began in 1748, however never fully completed. The purpose was to protect the eastern border of Sweden against Russia.

As mentioned in the prequel, Loviisa was founded in 1745 by King Adolf Frederick of Sweden as a border fortress against Russia.

I wish you a nice walk and please don’t hesitate to let me know what you think in the comment section.
Stay safe and take care xx
