I decided to revisit this beautiful pond, Ollilanlampi, one more time.
This time, however, it is completely covered in snow.

SUMMER EVENING

In the spring of 2021, the municipality asked residents for ideas and thoughts about the development of the Ahjo recreational area.
A total of 431 responses were received.
The major reforms to renovate were new boardwalks, new campfire areas, more benches and picnic furniture, a nature trail and winter hiking trails.
The renovation was completed at end of 2021.

Ollilanlampi is the largest pond in Kerava and is located in a wooded area dominated by a high hill.
The entire hill area is surrounded by an outdoor route and trails can be found in the forest.
In the snowy winter there is a cross-country ski trail.
With its large wooded forest and blueberry bushes, Ollilanlampi and its surroundings are the pearls of Kerava.
The area is known for its frog species and the destruction and deterioration of the breeding and resting places is prohibited.
In summer the pond is occupied by Mallards (ducks) and water lilies.
When the area is in bloom, it becomes a popular day trip for many families to feed the ducks.
