Sightseeing Street Walk in Central Helsinki, Finland with Subtitles
4K UHD
Hello, and welcome back to another scene.
Nice to have you here, would you like to join me?
On this beautiful Sunday afternoon we are accompanied by a radiant sun.
Today we find ourselves in Helsinki’s bustling Central Market Square to be precise.
The glorious sun draws many people outside.
There also seem to be international ice hockey fans exploring Helsinki.
This year, the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships are held in Finland.
The matches will be played in Helsinki and Tampere.
The biggest sport in Finland is of course ice hockey, which makes this year extra special.
International fans from countries like Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, USA, etc are in Finland during the tournament.
Winters in Finland are known to be dark and cold for a long time.
The transition from winter to summer can be a tricky one.
Of course it feels great to have long and warm sunny days again, but it takes time to adapt.
After a long ~6 months of winter, body and mind had to take another ‘beating’.
Some years are faster and easier to transition than others.
It’s not just the mind, but the change of clothes and the extreme sunshine on the skin that can make it difficult.
Of course, southern Finland still has it a bit easier than the people who live in the north (Lapland).
But today i feel blessed to enjoy the outdoors and i hope you are too.
If you want to see Finland in winter, i’ll link several walks in the description or at the top right corner of your screen.

Are you still with me? if so, that’s great and i hope you enjoy it.
Helsinki is a compact and beautiful city to visit and live in.
One of the world’s highest standards of urban living.
Ranked in the top 3 best city in the world to live in, with London and New York City.
Together with Rovaniemi (Lapland), Helsinki is one of Finland’s most significant tourist cities.
It is the world’s northernmost metro area and home to over one million people.
Helsinki was founded as a town near the ‘Helsinge Rapids’, which you can see in another video.
I will link it in the description and at the top right corner of your screen.
