4K UHD
We’re greeted with a lovely weather this morning, don’t you think? I hope you’re wearing waterproof clothing for this trip.
No better time than to walk a swamp region in pouring rain.
We are located at the shores of Lake Tuusula, Finland and walking towards a bird tower.
The area is called “Joukonpolku”, which translates to Jouko’s Path, named after Jouko Veikkolainen (1952-2006), a nature photographer from Järvenpää.
A popular spot for birdwatching, several diverse bird species can be seen, such as the reed & willow warbler, ducks, the nightingale, swamp chicken and house finch, etc..
We are walking towards a bird tower with a view to Järvenpää and Lake Tuusula.
In the summer of 2017 the boardwalk was out of service due to poor condition. As a result of that a rehabilitation program was funded to make the area accessible again.
Thank you for joining the walk and discovering more about this area.
