Welcome dear watcher, i decided to get out and record 4 snow walks, all of which are located in Töölö, Helsinki.
A blizzard passed by last night, of which i made a video as well, watch: Top 6 Most Beautiful Winter Walks
Enjoy the beautiful scenery in Töölö district, Helsinki, Finland.

Starting off in the beautiful Sibelius Park. In 1906 the area was designated as a residential area but changed to a recreational area in the revised town plan of 1916.
Construction of the park began in 1937 and lasted for 3 years. Originally called ‘Humallahti Nature Park’ but was renamed in 1945 in honour of legendary Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957).
The Sibelius Monument was founded for a memorial to the composer, the 600 tubes and 8.5 meters high sculpture was inaugurated on 7 September 1967, weighing over 24 tonnes and is today one of the most popular tourist attractions in Helsinki.
As we make our way through the park towards the adjacent bay, where you’ll discover a small but super cozy red cottage cafe called ‘Regatta Cafe’.
A popular hangout among locals, famous for its fresh cinnamon buns, blueberry pie and other delicacies. All year around you can relax outside by the fire and grill delicious sausages.
The cottage was built in 1887 and owned by the famous cafe family, Paulig. Originally used for fishnets.
With the temperature at -9°c (15.8f), a rather chilly walk but the air feels so fresh and clean, i’ll gladly brave the cold for it!
We are in what is called the “civil twilight”, within the hour after sunset. The beautiful colours make for a gorgeous view.

Just to the North of Cafe Regatta is the island ‘Rajasaari’, most of the island is a fenced dog park and swimming area. During winter it’s also a storage area for boats hibernating.
Walking in a maze of boats waiting for warm summer, a strange feeling i must say to wander around. Previous weeks have been cold enough for the sea to freeze over, making it possible to walk across the canal towards the island ‘Seurasaari’, of which i recorded a walk as well
Overhead power lines stretch across the sea from one side to the other.

🎬 𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗘 𝟬𝟯: 𝗩ä𝗶𝗻ä𝗺ö𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁
Continuing the walk in a charming neighborhood located in Etu-Töölö called Väinämöinen.
Just West of here lays the Hietaniemi cemetery and the Väinämöinen Park. A great leisure area for picnic and sports activities.

🎬 𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗘 𝟬𝟰: 𝗘𝘁𝘂-𝗧öö𝗹ö 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁
We end the walk in the residential area of Etu-töölö.
As Finland is primarily a winter country, a blizzard like this won’t slow down the way of life.
Populated areas like Helsinki are taken care of snow in a mere hours. Of course, all cars are suited for driving in winter condition with proper winter tires.

Thank you for watching and i hope to see you in the next (or one of the previous) scenes.
Stay safe and take care of yourself. Have a great rest of your day!
