Welcome, dear Scene Walker.
We’re back in the town of Ekenäs (Tammisaari), located in southwestern Finland.
I like to come here a few times a year to stroll through the old town.
Although I initially had not planned to drive so far at this time.
Let’s just say that by the time I went to sleep, the dark night was already slowly turning into day, but I felt fulfilled and satisfied that I had accomplished it.
For me, walking is more than just a hobby; it’s a kind of therapy for the mind, a way to heal and process the stress of a workweek.
I can truly unwind when i’m alone. If you’re not happy being alone, it’s very difficult to find happiness in other situations.
I may be wrong, but I think Ekenäs is mentioned less often in travel tips for Finland than the old towns of Porvoo and Rauma, but to be honest, the old town here also has a fantastic atmosphere.
Admittedly, Ekenäs is a bit far from Helsinki, it’s about 1.5 hours by car or 2.5 hours by train.
